Joseph Makkar has spent more than four decades honoring the power of storytelling. Given a scholarship to acting school at the age of ten, he was coached by his mentor Chip Fields and booked his first role in Touchstone’s Down and Out in Beverly Hills — Disney’s first R-rated film.
He went on to train in the rigorous theatre program at the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts (LACHSA), and built a resume opposite A-list actors and under directors including Ridley Scott and Gregory Hoblitt — from Executive Decision alongside Kurt Russell to military roles in G.I. Jane, with voice and ADR work on Gladiator and The Siege.
On television he has recurred across NCIS: Los Angeles, SEAL Team, and Hulu’s Reasonable Doubt. In 2025 he sparked the opening of Prime Video’s The Terminal List: Dark Wolf as Hamid Al-Jabouri — a brief role with a long shadow.
An American actor of Egyptian heritage, raised in Southern California, Joseph brings authenticity to roles that honor his background and culture — while loving the action, the thriller, and any story that pushes an audience to think.
